Benromach Organic Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Is the first bottled single malt released to be fully certified organic by the Soil Association.

Benromach Organic is bottled non chill filtered, at natural colour and at 43% ABV. Golden brown in colour, Benromach Organic is a fresh vibrant whisky with a strong oak influence.

Colour: Golden Brown

Neat

Nose: Sweet, charred oak aromas with fresh fruit notes (bananas and pineapples). An earthy, toasted aroma also present.

Palate: Sweet, vanilla and toffee flavours. Hints of green apples and orange peel with a rich resinous note.

WITH WATER

Nose: Sweet with malty aromas. A perfumed note emerges. The fruitiness remains - peaches and pears. Sweetness develops into cream toffees.

Palate: Malty with sweet oak flavours. Hints of drier fruit - sultanas and raisins.

Body: Smooth and mellow

Finish: Sweet oak and hints of fruit

Cask type: Virgin American Oak Casks

Whisky style: A fresh, vibrant whisky with strong oak influence.

Benromach Tokaji Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Colour: Bright amber

Nose: Sweet with malt and fruit notes (sultanas and figs). Subtle smokiness (charred oak) laced with spices - nutmeg and treacle.

Palate: Sweet and fruity (ripe fruits, rich sherry element) balanced with spices (cracked peppercorns) and a drying smokiness.

Body: Soft.

Finish: Rich fruit with a drying spiciness.

Cask Type: First fill Bourbon and Sherry followed by months in Tokaji casks.

Benromach Origins Single Malt Scotch Whisky

50% Batch 1 - Golden Promise

Colour: Dark golden.

Neat

Nose: Initial buttery note, delicate floral influences. A prominent toasted malt note with subtle sherry notes in the background.

Palate: Starts creamy and becomes very sweet. Heavily toasted malt influences with a very delicate smoke. Mouth watering and complex

Finish: Long and smooth.

With Water

Nose: Prominent sweetness with heavy malt influences. Delicate orange peel

note and some smoke.

Palate: Initially peppery, becomes sweeter with a very subtle smoke in the

background. Mouth watering and smooth.

Finish: Long and balanced.

Body: Medium.

Cask Type: Sherry cask.

Benromach Single Malt Scotch Whisky Peat Smoke 46%

Colour: Light straw

Neat

Nose: Sweet, burnt sugar aromas with wood smoke and a gentle phenolic/medicinal note. Hints of granny smith apples.

Palate: Peat smoke and ash followed by sweet, toasted malt. Hints of spice and charred oak are followed by subtle phenolic flavours.

With Water

Nose: The sweetness is still evident but the phenolic character is more pronounced. Medicinal notes - germolene and tcp are laced by a smoky, earthy aroma. A delicate floral edge is also present.

Palate: Smoky - hints of creosote and birchwood. A sweet treacle toffee note follows. A rich, mulled fruit flavour also adds balance. However the peat smoke character is never far away.

Body: Bold, tempered by the sweetness and fruit notes.

Finish: Smoky with sweet malt notes.

Peat Smoke 46% Batch 2

Colour: Dark straw.

Neat

Nose: A sweet smokiness comes to the fore. A pleasant cigar like note is present. Fresh with hints of green apples - Granny Smith

Palate: Subtle phenolic flavour with a heavy sweet peat smoke influence.

Finish: Long.

With Water

Nose: A sweetness is evident, a more delicate peat smoke is present. With fragrant and floral notes - reminiscent of freshly cut grass.

Palate: Hint of smoke with woody elements. Heavy sweet influences - treacle toffee notes and very creamy.

Finish: Short

Body: Medium.

Cask Type: First fill bourbon barrel.
