Glenora Distillery
The Glenora Inn & Distillery is located at Glenville, Inverness County, Nova Scotia, Canada. The Glenora Distillery, with an annual production of 250,000 litres of whisky, is the only single malt distillery in Canada. The Distillery started production in June 1990.
Glenora Distillery is located on a 300 acre site. The seven buildings house malt, kiln, milling production, warehouses, bottling, and hospitality facilities. The structures were constructed in a traditional post and beam style, similar in nature to distilleries found in Scotland.
The distillery and tourism facilities were constructed during the period 1988-1990. The current owners acquired the building in April, 1994. The annual production capacity of 250,000 litres can be expanded to 400,000 - 500,000 litres per annum with reasonable additional expenditures.Glen Bretton Whisky is produced by the traditional copper pot stills method using only three ingredients: Barley, Yeast and Water.
It can not be called 'Scotch' unless it is produced in Scotland, hence, Canadian Single Malt Whisky.
Glen Breton Rare Canadian Single Malt Whisky is the only single malt whisky produced in Canada. It is produced by the traditional copper pot stills method using only three ingredients: Barley, Yeast and Water.
