Greenore Irish Single Grain Whiskey
Greenore Single Grain Whiskey
A unique and exceptional Single Grain Irish Whiskey, Greenore’s silky smooth taste and robust character is a truly delightful experience for the discerning drinker.
Single Grain whiskies are very rare as most grain whiskey finds itself into Blended whiskies. There are only several other such products in the world. Many people, including Jim Murray world renowned whiskey expert, consider Cooley’s grain distillery to be one of the best in the world and as such Greenore was developed to highlight this.
Greenore combines only the purest of elements, soft Irish water from the Cooley Mountains and the finest high quality grains. The whiskey is then left to mature in single use bourbon oak casks, sleeping peacefully in ancient granite warehouses that have been home to whiskey for over 200 years.
Over these years the Single Grain whiskey combines with the bourbon oak casks and the subtle vanilla tones and honeyed sweetness that so characterise Greenore are imparted giving it its truly distinctive character. This will be a journey of the taste buds for all whiskey drinkers to enjoy.
In order to fully appreciate the interaction between the whiskey and the single use bourbon casks, a small batch of casks will be hand picked by our Master Blender. This will result in limited bottlings of varying ages being introduced over the next few years. The first Greenore will be an 8 year old, followed by a 10 year old, then a 16 year old and finally an 18 year old.
Only 5,000 bottles of this limited edition single grain whiskey and smaller quantities of the older ages will be made available due to inventory constraints.
