Small Batch Bourbons
As the name suggests only produced in small quantities, by tradition up to only twenty barrels at the most.
The Small Batch Bourbon Collection represents the very best in bourbon, each handcrafted in limited quantities using time-honoured recipes. These special recipes allow each Small Batch Bourbon to be distinctively different. As Booker Noe, Jim Beam's grandson and master distiller emeritus says: "This is bourbon the way it used to be, the way it was meant to be."
This range includes Bakers, Basil Hayden's, and Bookers.
Knob Creek Bourbon
Sipping History:
Knob Creek® Bourbon was inspired by President Abraham Lincoln’s childhood home in Kentucky.
The bourbon bears the Knob Creek name and embodies a subtle sweetness and rich, full-bodied flavour that has made Kentucky famous for bourbon.
Beam Family Secret:
Knob Creek spends nine years getting to know the inside of a new charred American white oak barrel. The barrels are charred over an open fire and taken to level four -- the deepest char. It is the charring that brings out the distinctive qualities. During this process, the sugars in the oak become caramelized, which account for the maple aroma, the sweetness and the gorgeous amber colour of Knob Creek.
Tasting Tradition:
Knob Creek Bourbon, bottled at an honest 100 proof like all good bourbons were a century ago, is aged nine years in wood, which makes it one of the most special members of the Small Batch Family -- a true sipping whiskey.
Beam Seal of Approval:
Knob Creek Bourbon is packaged in a flask-shaped bottle, wrapped in a label reminiscent of an old-time newspaper, and topped off with a hand-dipped wax seal.
