Scotland is home to over 140 inhabited islands, however today malt whisky is distilled on only six of these islands. “The Six Isles” is a unique vatting of casks of single malt whiskies selected from the six distilling islands. From Islay in the southwest to Orkney in the far north, every distinctive style and flavour of Island malt whisky has been brought together in a bottle of “The Six Isles.” The peaty and smoky character of the Malts of Islay is balanced with the soft heather, honey and Iodine notes of the Orcadian Malts, and rounded off by the flavours of the other four islands.

“The Six Isles” is a sensory voyage through the malt whiskies of the islands of Scotland.

Islay

By the 14th century, as the seat of the Lord of the Isles, the island was an autonomous principality, today; Islay is recognised world wide for its distinctive peaty flavoured malts.

Jura

The Island of Jura, who’s rugged west coast is dotted with huge caves and dominated by the well known Paps of Jura, was famed for its Highland cattle.

Skye

“The Misty Isle” The largest of the Inner Hebrides, is renowned for its beauty, from the drama of the Cullen Hills to the many miles of unspoilt coastline.

Mull

Mull is the second largest of the Inner Hebrides. The remains of many forts and “Duns” bear testimony to the numerous battles fought between the clans vying for control of the Island.

Orkney

With the most northerly distilleries in Scotland, the Orkney Islands, annexed by Scotland in 1471, have a spirit of independence resulting from their rich Norse Heritage.

Arran

Sheltered by the Mull of Kintyre, the island of Arran’s mild climate was enjoyed by the Scottish Kings who used Lochranza Castle as a hunting lodge in the 15th century.
